There was a time when a phone was just that, a phone. You had your home phone, your office phone, your home office phone, and if you were fancy, your car phone. If people wanted to reach you, they had to take measurements of the time of day and circumstances of the moment to estimate the best number at which to reach you.

I remember when I first got started in the industry; only large corporations could afford the hardware, software and implementation of a server, much less the proper management of it. Then Microsoft came out with the Small Business Server line and the playing field was just that more level. I was excited, as a small business tech nerd tends to be. And Microsoft picked up on the value of the small business market and their offerings opened up.

Phishing campaigns are big business, and with 89% of the attacks being carried out by organized crime, there is no reason to believe it’s just the game of bored “geeks” working out of their parent’s basement.

I think we can all agree that there is no business without IT.
