THE END IS NEAR!!

I remember when I first got started in the industry; only large corporations could afford the hardware, software and implementation of a server, much less the proper management of it. Then Microsoft came out with the Small Business Server line and the playing field was just that more level. I was excited, as a small business tech nerd tends to be. And Microsoft picked up on the value of the small business market and their offerings opened up.

Many businesses, in an effort to get the most out of their investments, wisely keep their servers for as long as they serve their function well. But as we all know, (or maybe this just a small business tech nerd thing again), patches are essential to servers doing their jobs well. And Microsoft will only put out patches for a particular operating system for a certain amount of time. They do schedule the end of their support and have what is called and EOL (end of life) schedule. Well, if you are currently running Windows Server 2008, consider this far warning.

Microsoft has announced the end of support for Window Server 2008 to happen on January 14, 2020. You do have options, of course. Whether you decide to upgrade to an on-premise server, or a cloud solution will largely depend on your use and needs. This download will outline the options available to you based on just that. Download the PDF and reach out to us with any questions, this sort of stuff makes us giddy.
